Footballer David Beckham has rounded off a trip to Afghanistan by getting 'bitten' by a dog of war.
The former England captain was bundled up in a padded suit and helmet before being taught by handlers how to taunt a German shepherd into attacking him.
Brit the dog received pats and strokes by the LA Galaxy star afterwards.
Beckham was on a tour of the British troops stationed in Afghanistan when he met the dogs of war at the Theatre Military Working Dogs HQ.
The 51 dogs that stay at the base, including Labradors, Belgian shepherds, German shepherds and spaniels, are used in military operations by searching for explosives, carrying out searches on vehicles and as guard dogs.
Beckham is known for his attachment to dogs, with his English bull terrier Coco recently photographed going for a walk in downtown LA with bright pink nails.
