As you all probably know, All About Pets is part of the Blue Cross family, working hard together to improve the lives of pets and pet owners in Britain. Here at The Blue Cross, we’re looking at changing the way we do things online. We’re working on a new website, and looking at what changes we can make to the AAP site to improve the experience for you!

Because this is your community, we really need your feedback and involvement. So let us know! What would you change? What would you keep the same? Any problems or difficulties? Basically, anything at all that you want to say about All About Pets, we’d love to hear!

Make the forum searchable.

Make the previous posts to a thread visible when creating a reply.

It would be really useful if you could read the previous threads when writing a reply.  Also if it was easier to format replies (they always come out in one long paragraph, whether you space them properly or not).

Secondly, would it be possible to have a policy of only allowing posts which promote positive & reward based training when giving replies (as research published on your own website showed that training using force in all species can lead to increased cases of aggression & un-necessary suffering, which is not something Blue Cross would want to condone).

Lastly, how about having a specific section to ask questions, where you have to register your qualifications or experience in order to give replies - I for one would be happy to do this, as it would help owners to know that the advice they were getting was more likely to be correct.

Make it easier to find how to make the typeface larger! If there's a way I haven't found it, and this is almost impossible to read!

Enable the post/s you're replying to visible while you reply - if there are lots of questions to answer it's difficult to remember them all.

Enable an editing feature to remove the inevitable typos that appear as soon as you press 'Submit post'!

I'll get back to you with other points when I think of them ...

I agree with the previous posts. When posting a reply it would be helpful if you could see the message you were replying to. Claire

I agree it would be helpful to see the message you are replying to.  It would also help to have a heading under the forum latest posts showing whether the messages are relating to dogs, cats, other animals to save going into all messages, some of which aren't of interest to a particular person, for example, I know nothing about hamsters or guinea pigs but there are quite a few messages so I look at those when I don't want to.

I too agree with other posts, it would be very useful to see the whole thread and what people have written.  Rose

For some reason I cant view my own profile or edit it, every time i try to view my profile I get redirected to a page displaying 'a serious error has occurd'. I was wondering if anyone could or is aware of how to solve this. Thank you.
